JSU 2026 – Abstract Submission Guidelines

Please read all guidelines carefully before submitting your abstract.

Eligibility & Registration

All authors submitting abstracts must be registered for the conference. Abstracts will be accepted only if submitted through the official conference web page before the deadline.

Submission Deadline

The last date for abstract submission is 5th April 2026 (deadline extended).

Submission Format

Abstracts should be submitted as a Microsoft Word file. The file should be named in the following format: JSU2026_Abstract_<FirstAuthorLastName>. Up to two presentations per member allowed.

Abstract Structure

Each abstract should include: Title, Authors & Affiliations, Corresponding Author, Background/Introduction, Objectives/Aim, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

The title should be concise (up to 15 words), centered, and in bold. All authors should be listed with their institutional affiliations including city, state, and country. The presenting author should be indicated with an asterisk (*), and their name, address, email, and phone number must be clearly mentioned.

Total word count, excluding title and author details, should not exceed 250 words.

Formatting Guidelines

Abstracts must be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing, with standard 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides. A 1.5-line spacing may be used between paragraphs if necessary.

Tables and figures should not be included unless absolutely essential. References are generally discouraged; if unavoidable, a maximum of one or two may be included.

Topic / Category

Submissions on all surgical topics are welcome and will be considered for presentation.

Review Process

All abstracts will undergo a peer-blinded review assessing originality, scientific merit, clarity, and relevance to the conference theme. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection via email after the review is complete.

Presentation Type

Accepted abstracts will be considered for oral presentation based on recommendations of the scientific review committee. The final decision on mode of presentation rests solely with the organizing committee.

Presentation Details

Information regarding format, allotted time, and session schedule will be communicated to the presenting author via email upon acceptance.
